What if meaningful jobs get payed badly?
I am a relatively qualified academic with a doctorate in astrophysics and writing a second dissertation in philosophy. Job-wise I am stuck as a financial services consultant for banks and insurances simply because it is getting payed great and I want to provide a solid financial basis for my (future) family. My job is truly not what I would consider very meaningful to me. But everything I consider meaningful is very poorly paid and offers little perspective. Do you have a suggestion how to solve this conflict between fulfilling my duty as a family man and doing a meaningful job in a wider academic sense?

Dr. Peterson, Have you ever considered writing something about principles (rules maybe) for raising children? Listening to you expound on this subject indirectly when telling stories about your children or when speaking about the psychology of childhood is always enlightening. How should one best act to protect the whole of a child's psyche? Those of us who shudder at the complexity and weight of raising a child are very thankful for your insight. Will you share the fool proof version of understandmyself test?
I love you and Jocko Willink,thank you both for the great work you do! You once shared on his podcast that you had a test created to analyse personality traits which was fool proof in interviews and your daughter had used it to find a partner. I'd love to purchase it to use it for a business I'm planning to begin(still in planning phase)along with self authoring suite as I know it will improve lives and the mood in the business and also for finding a partner one day very similar to me. Thank you for the work you've done on personality tests as it helped to improve and change after I had took it as a young lad. I have found the episode you had mentioned it, it was Jocko episode 98-Dr.Peterson and at time 2hours,46mins into the podcast. It would surely make hiring easy and even make sure nobody fakes good on a date! I'd really appreciate if you could make that too available on understandmyself or some other way,or even just a questionnaire. It's really relevant as image given by interviewees and dates can be trained to be fake by so many ways and like marketing. Hope you're around for long and healthy and guide many more young men as I see some of the left i know even criticise the army men while living in comfort which is so disgusting. Hello Dr.Peterson, Thank you a lot for opening my eyes on the therapeutic effects of truthful way of being,you opened my eyes to harsh whole truths,but in a loving way. Would you please bring Professor John Mearsheimer,whose lectures like "Why leaders lie" and "Why Ukraine is West's fault" are gaining popularity though were uploaded long ago and seem to have a lot of truthful deep insights into the issue. The professor seems to be a very open minded person and has engaged in a few podcasts recently and will surely be ready to have a conversation with you. Hope whole truth will come out,as it's not okay to be an extremist that requires lies. Again,thank you for saving me from nihilism through religions and meaningful responsibilities❤️
