Hi Dr. Peterson, I was wondering what books or other literature you used in your preparation for the Biblical Series lectures, particularly your best recommendations on methodological approach to interpreting the Word. I’d also really appreciate it if you could point me towards the advanced physics papers that you spoke about in Genesis II. You’re my hero! Stay healthy, God bless you Jordan. And your family. You have more friends than any man on this earth
Are there truths we know we can define? Your discussion with Sam Harris (where I found you) way back on the Waking Up podcast was not really unbearable for me. If there was an area to get bogged down in, this is the most suitable place because it is an important strategy to prove honesty (in my opinion). I love your definition and examples to help you elucidate. Hence why I have followed you and your work for so long. Exempli gratia: Tree transcends man. Planets and stars transcend man too. Our observations of those that transcend us should be an agreeable cause. Why not
I think Christianity's roots can be found in this area and for a great spiritual reason. And it only leads to truth everyone should be able to agree on. Like why would humanity be able to abide by similar time structures? Why does math work? Can't everyone agree the Sun gives us everything?
Have you ever seen old European, Middle Ages, Italian Renaissance art? The Lamentation is quite the fascinating set of depictions and you see the depictions change from the 1200s/1300's to the 1400's. Consider Giotto di Bondone's version. What's up with the "Halo's" around the apostles ND Jesus's head? Will your university have space to discuss art?
Have you ever seen William Blake's The Ancient of Days? Please tell me you see the geometry. So much of the academic resources are just terrible takes. Plagued by Dogma, and heavy bias that has been engraved deep into our generations awareness. I am one not fooled by any of that anymore.
