To Dr Peterson, I am currently trying to construct a hypothesis that tries to psychologically link anti-social children, psychotic/sociopathic personalities, serial killers, terrorists, and dictators. I have read a large amount of the books on your recommended reading list. In addition to the readings you have suggested, your podcasts, my own readings and some academic papers, I have not found any sources that really looks at the relationship between the above factors. Can you please suggest some resources that may be helpful?
I have two brothers aged 25, who spend their time in their room in our parent's house unable to integrate into the world. Their unable/unwilling to find a job or move out. Even when I offer to pay their rent they are too anxious to accept. What should I do?
It's more of a suggestion than a question. I would love to participate in a sort of book club organized by you. Maybe you could indicate a book (or chapters of a book, if too long) at the beginning of the month and, at the end, do a live discussing the book.
Perhaps the most impactful thing you’ve done in my life is to point me towards Jung’s Aion. I paid careful attention to myself while I was reading it. Aion changed my life and completely rewired my brain. And I really mean that. Maybe literally. You also deserve some of that credit. At the time I was also listening to your biblical series lectures. The effect of those lectures alongside Aion was to reinstantiate me with the archetypes of my ancestors. Aion terrifies me because as a software engineer I recognize it as programming. It deals in symbols heavily and sometimes recursively. Why did it terrify you?
You talk a lot about reading and writing, and thanks to you I have started writing daily and feel aspects of my life changing positively. But what about listening? 80% of the time I've just been listening to you for ~2-3 years - what are the positive effects? Am I just getting new information or is there more to it? I thank you in advance for the question and for everything you do for me and humanity. Thank much!
